Tip #74: The airplane pitch

The rug merchant first pours the tea, then starts a conversation, and only later tries to sell something. There’s a modern analog: If you end up sitting next to me on a long airline flight, pitch at the end of the flight, not the beginning.

    Good analogy. Pitching at the beginning of the flight, if the “pitch” doesn’t go well for either party could make for a long and awkward flight! So which airline can we find you on? ;-)

    That’s sort of like saying goodbye to someone, only to realize you’re both still walking in the same direction. Awkward.
