Tip #108: Fake it

When giving a demo, especially over the Web, don’t use example data (like addresses and phone numbers) you don’t want to see captured in screenshots and published on the home page of my site.

    I use http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ to get random names/addresses/etc when I’m giving SharePoint demos

    When I worked at Cognos, all the demos ended up working out so that Dave Mustaine was “the answer.” Always got a giggle from that obviously fake info — not sure how many customers realized the joke.
