“As seen on TechCrunch” is a bad way to start a pitch to me.

ha. this one makes me laugh. when representing the interests of any business, i understand trying to show validity, but come on.
Don’t get it … is it “As seen on xxx” that’s bad, or the TechCrunch part? You seem to give them enough credibility to judge the event …
We’ve been told time and again to never mention other places where our clients received coverage. It would be prefacing a request for a date with “I shagged George Clooney.”
Well, maybe not THAT extreme…
